2012 EUGENE ROUSSEAU SAXOPHONE WORKSHOP
The Shell Lake Arts Center announces the Eugene Rousseau Saxophone Workshop, to be held August 6 - 9 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. The Workshop was initiated in 1972 in the beautiful Indianhead area of northwest Wisconsin, about 90 miles from Minneapolis.
The event will begin on Monday August 6, with a recital that evening presented by Rousseau and faculty members David Branter, Thomas Liley, Julia Nolan, Carolyn Bryan, and Stephen Page. Class sessions will have begun that morning, covering a wide variety of topics and offering individual and group performing opportunities. Solo performers are provided with a professional pianist and receive coaching privately and in front of the class. Student soloists, duets, trio, and quartets perform in a concert Thursday evening which concludes with a large saxophone ensemble.
