The Shell Lake Arts Center announces the Eugene Rousseau Saxophone Workshop, to be held August 7 - 11 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. The Workshop was initiated in 1092 in the beautiful Indianhead area of northwest Wisconsin, about 90 miles from Minneapolis.
The event will begin on Sunday evening, August 7, with a recital presented by Rousseau and including faculty members David Branter, Thomas Liley, and Julia Nolan. Class sessions begin the next morning, covering a wide variety of topics and offering individual and group performing opportunities. Solo performers are provided with a professional pianist and receive coaching privately and in front of the class. Student soloists, duets, trios, and quartets perform in a concert Thursday evening which concludes with a large saxophone ensemble.
