Sax quartet commission op.: David Rakowski

Composer David Rakowski would like to write a 10-minute saxophone quartet for a consortium of saxophonists. You can read about him at http://home.earthlink.net/~ziodavino/album1_001.htm. Don't let the informality of his webpage fool you - the man is a world-class composer. Although not much of his music is posted on his website, you can hear a great deal of samples at the iTunes store. He's won the Rome and Barlow prizes, is a 2-time Pulitzer finalist, and has been commissioned by many of the world's best orchestras, bands, and chamber groups. The buy-in for this piece will be $400 per quartet. Like always, this will include: exclusive performing and recording rights for one year, your name in lights on the title page, parts and FOUR copies of the score. Also included, as always, is the warm fuzzy feeling that goes with helping to bring new art into life. If interested, contact me at ryan@ryanjanus.com
