According to the score of the Dubois Quartet, there is an optional orchestral part. If anyone has any information about how to get that part or any information in general it would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Dubois' Quatuor version with orchestra

When I was in the Amherst Quartet, we performed the Dubois quartet as a concerto with both orchestra and with band, so it does exist. According to Londeix's book, the orchestral version has the title Concertino (d'apres le Quatuor de Saxophones) for SATB quartet and chamber orchestra. The publisher is Leduc. If I remember correctly, we played the same music as the quartet, and just needed to add some bars of rest here and there. I'm not sure where Amherst got the band version. Hope that's helpful!

The Washington Sax Quartet played the Dubois with orchestra, and I think we actually went through Presser to help the orchestra find it. I seem to remember that it costs $300.00 for the rental fee. The rests in the orchestral arrangement are not the same as the straight quartet parts so be sure to read from the supplied parts for saxes or at least mark your own parts.
