Hello everyone,
Do any of you know any great pieces for sax quartet and band or orchestra that have just been performed. If so can you send me any information about it or any website links.
Thanks,

There is the Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Orchestra by Philip Glass.

Best I can tell only the quartet version is commercially available, but you may be able to rent the full orchestral version.

Having looked into this just for an upcoming concert I can point you to two works:

Of course there are many more but these are just two I ran across recently.
Cheers

Good Morning! A snowy morning here in NE Michigan. I am looking for a commercial arrangement of In the Mood for quartet/quintet. I know there must be one out there as I have seen several groups do the same piece on Utube. Not particularly classical music but everyone loves and is fun to just throw out there. Any ideas?

Along the same line of this thread, I am looking for something for saxophone quartet (SATB) and strings or chamber orchestra. It should be 6-10 minutes, playable by non professionals, and available. I have A Comprehensive Guide to the Saxophone Repertoire 1844-2003 and it isn't much help.
Thanks,
Gary
