Saxophonist [I]Bill Perconti[I]and [I]Albany Records[I] have released a new CD comprised of recent saxophone music composed by noted composer [I]Allan Blank[/I]. Assisting Perconti is the [I]Alloy Saxophone Quartet[I], the [I]Idaho Saxophone Trio[I], and [I]Patrick McNally[I], Principal Bassist with the [I]Spokane WA Symphony[/I].[/I][/I][/I][/I][/I][/I] The CD includes [U][U]Line Drawings[/U][U] for solo soprano saxophone, [U]Five Sketches for Alto Saxophone[/U], [U][U]A Miscellany for Saxophone Quartet[U[/U]], [U][U]Scenes for the Ear[/U][U]for saxophone trio, and the alto sax/contrabass duo [U][U]Introduction, Seven Vignettes, & Conclusion[/U][U]. Members of the Alloy Saxophone Quartet include Perconti, [I]Casey Emerson[/I] of Idaho Falls, Seattle resident [I]Nicole Barnes[/I], Affiliate Saxophone Professor at Western Washington U., and Tacoma resident [I]Dr. Erik Steighner[/I], Saxophone Lecturer at Pacific Lutheran U. (WA). The Idaho Saxophone Trio comprises Perconti, [I]Joy Atkin[/I] of Twin Falls ID and [I]Vanessa Sielert[/I] of the U. of Idaho.
