The Alloy Saxophone Quartet/Bill Perconti

The Alloy Saxophone Quartet and Bill Perconti have contributed two world-premier recordings on the CD Nancy Van de Vate Chamber Music Vol. IX. The CD on Vienna Modern Masters also represents the premier of the Alloy Saxophone Quartet, which recorded Vate's Music in Five, Three, and Seven. Soloist Perconti recorded A Quiet Piece on the compilation CD that also contains music for string quartet, marimba, and cello. Based in the Pacific NW, members of the Alloy include Bill Perconti of Lewis-Clark State College (ID), Casey Emerson of Idaho Falls (ID), Nicole Barnes of Western Washington U., and Dr. Erik Steighner of Pacific Lutheran U. (WA). Composer Nancy Van de Vate resides in Vienna, and her works have been performed throughout Europe and the U.S., including the NY City Opera.
