I was wondering if anyone knows of any pieces written for saxophone quartet and brass quintet that would be suitable for the finale of combined recital between these two groups. If anyone knows of such a piece(s) please e-mail me at email.

Concerto da Camera by Fisher Tull comes to mind, but I can't think of any others.
Concerto da Camera by Fisher Tull comes to mind, but I can't think of any others.
Actually, the Tull is for alto sax & brass quintet. you can hear excerpts of it here http://www.gulfwindmusic.com/tullondisc.html#Concerto_da_camera The only piece I know of for sax quartet and brass quintet is Yngre Slettholm Symbiosis for nine instruments I've never heard the piece, so I can't tell you if this is appropriate for your request. Other pieces for sax & brass quintet:

Walter Hartley Concertino da Camera for soprano sax & brass quintet
Christophe Havel Triptyque for alto sax (doubling soprano sax) & brass quintet
Bill Holcombe Blues Concerto for alto sax & brass quintet
M. Karlins Williams Catena II for soprano sax & brass quintet
Jeffrey Lesser Last Saxophone on Earth for sax & brass quintet
Good luck to you.
