University of Southampton Research Fellowships - Humanities (One-year) School of Humanities £27,183 - £33,432 per annum Dear all, I wanted to send this ad from my university for one year post-doc in music. The research that goes on here is excellent and there are several specialists in performance as research. The fellowships are available for anyone from any country/nationality. It would be a great opportunity for a student who has just finished their DMA or PhD and hasn't yet found a position elsewhere or is looking to do a little bit of research in their field. As a leading international centre for Humanities, and following our extremely strong RAE results, we are pleased to offer up to five one-year Research Fellowships for the 2009-10 session. The School contains seven research disciplines (Archaeology, English, Film, History, Philosophy, Modern Languages, Music) as well as several interdisciplinary centres, and offers a lively and well supported research environment. Candidates are invited to put forward a project which links to the strategic research areas of the School and University, including the archive collections in the Hartley Library. In addition, they will be expected to devise and organise strategic events, and to work with colleagues on future research bids.
