UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- Asst. Prof. of Music-Woodwinds, Clarinet and Sax.. Full-time, nine-month appointment, tenure track. The principal duty of the position is to function as instructor of private and class lessons for clarinet and saxophone, and coach woodwind chamber. Other duties may include teaching in the areas of jazz, music history, or other candidate''s specialty as workload permits. Other departmental service duties as assigned. Doctorate in music or ABD considered. Doctorate degree must be completed and in hand by August 23, 2009. Evidence of artist-level solo performance ability in clarinet, evidence of artist-level chamber music and collaborative performance ability, strong sight reading skills, and evidence of successful teaching at the college level.
