Saxophone, Artist Performer / Assistant Professor. Full-time, tenure track faculty position in Saxophone in the Department of Music beginning in mid-August 2009. Primary duties will include the teaching and mentoring of university level saxophone students and performance with various faculty ensembles and may include a secondary teaching area dependent upon the successful candidate's qualifications and interests and the needs of the Music Department. Possible secondary teaching areas may include woodwind methods classes, coaching of saxophone ensembles and chamber groups, jazz Improvisation, jazz history, music appreciation and literature or fundamental music theory courses.
