This notice just came out: Term Lecturer, Applied Saxophone, 9 month, Non-tenure track, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Starting Date: August 16, 2008. Application deadline: July 18, 2008, or until filled. Qualifications: Masters degree in music and relevant college/university teaching experience. Doctorate preferred. Experience playing both classical and jazz styles preferred. Duties: Teach and recruit saxophone students; assist with jazz band; teach music appreciation and/or music theory.
