ADAMS STATE COLLEGE -- Teach applied music in an area of specialty. Trumpet, percussion, clarinet or saxophone preferred. Provide leadership for development of the instrumental area through recruiting, performances, clinics, and workshops. Teach in other areas of expertise as needed including jazz band, improvisation and an introductory music literature course or another course. The teaching load is equivalent to 12 credit hours per semester. Masters degree in music required. The candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful studio teaching, ensemble leadership and the ability to perform above position description, and a strong commitment to recruiting, retention, and active work among area and state music educators.
