[B]University of Florida School of Music Master of Music Degree Program Jonathan Helton, Professor of Saxophone[/B] I am pleased to announce openings for saxophone assistantships at the University of Florida. Graduate Assistants will teach music minors, saxophone methods, and work occasionally with music majors. Additional duties will include performance in university ensembles, and administrative duties related to the running of the saxophone studio (organizing guest artist visits, logistical support for saxophone ensemble tours…). Compensation includes: - Tuition remission of approximately $20,000/year (full-time, out-of-state amount) - Stipend of about $5000/year - 100% paid health insurance Graduate students at the University of Florida are also eligible for travel funding that can be used to attend and perform at NASA and World Saxophone conferences. Application requirements and auditions should be completed by January 31, 2011 to assure full consideration for all assistantships.
