Glasunov for wind ensemble

Hi there. I hope you're not getting sick of hearing me. I just stumbled on this post and had to reply. I don't know of any pre-existing arrangements, BUT ... if you can be patient, I'll probably have time this summer to do just such an arrangement. This is a pet project of mine. So far I've given Tableaux a treatment for wind ensemble, and Glasunov is next on my list (FYI, Desenclos, Ibert and Villa Lobos' Fantasia are also on the list). I'm still waiting to hear back from Henri Lemoine and Alphonse Leduc about what kind of copyright laws I may or may not be violating, so that may be a factor. If you need Glasunov for something this semester, though, I'll have to say I definitely don't have time to do an arrangement before the summer, at least not a very good one. Let me know if you're interetsed: email.

No but I would love to know where to find one. Didn't one of the service bands have arrangements of these?

"Hi there. I hope you're not getting sick of hearing me" Of course not! You have been very helpful. I am in need of it for this semester. However, this is what I found out. A professor at here at SLU told me that a Japanese company has an arraignment of the Glazounov. I looked online for it and this is the URL. website I do think that there is a definite need for the Ibert as well. I just needed one of two for a concerto competition.

Glazounov, Ibert for band

I've performed both the Ibert and the Glazounov with the USAF Heritage of America Band (Langley AFB). I think the band arrangements were originally done by the Marine Band in DC, but many of the military bands now have those arrangements. They have not been published (to my knowledge). You may be able to contact the Marine Band library to ask them about this. Good luck!
