The Fourth Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition, 2014 July 6-19
Dear Friends of Saxophone:
Saxophone Maestro Jean-Marie Londeix has a life-long reputation as a distinguished performing artist, educator and scholar. Under his influence,saxophonists of the world have been mentored by his tireless dedication. To acknowledge his contribution, the College of Music, Mahidol University in Thailand is organizing an international saxophone competition under M. Londeix's supervision.
In this competition, we will provide the winners with numerous prizes including 5,000 Euros for the first prize, 3,500, the second, and 2,000, the third; as well, the top prizewinner will receive engagement of a concert with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to the cash prizes, we will also offer high quality saxophones as prizes for the winners.
We anticipate that this international competition in Bangkok will be a major event for the saxophone world.
