The results have been announced from the recent Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The Senior Wind Division Silver Medal was awarded to the Blue Static Saxophone Quartet of the University of Houston, Moores School of Music, Houston, Texas. Members include Robert Eason, Lee Redfearn III, Justin Neumann and Elizabeth Ambs.
The Senior Wind Division Bronze Medal was awarded to Arundo Donax of Bloomington, Indiana. Ensemble members include Lindsay Flowers (oboe), J.J. Koh (clarinet), Zachary Shemon (saxophone), Ashley Booher (clarinet/horn), and Dewayne Jerome Pinkney (bassoon).
Congratulations to the Blue Static Saxophone Quartet and the Arundo Donax, which includes Zachary Shemon. Bravo to you for representing the saxophone in the best possible way!
