Dear Friends, On April 18, 2009 the University of Massachusetts Amherst will present the 27th Annual New England Saxophone Symposium. I know many of you will not be able to come because of distance and prior commitments, but I wanted you to know about the event and would appreciate your forwarding this email to anybody you think might be interested. Please find an attached flier that includes information about all the performers, the day's schedule, and a registration form. This years featured soloists include Chin-Kwan Lin, Professor of Saxophone at the Eastman School of Music, Jazz Artist and Music Educator John Mastroianni, Michael Sakash, Professor Klock's sabbatical replacement and former tenured professor at Washington & Jefferson College, and Lynn Klock, host and Professor of Saxophone at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. We will also feature several saxophone quartet performances throughout the day. Thank you for your interest and support, and we look forward to seeing you on the 18th. Sincerely, Lynn E. Klock Professor of Saxophone University of Massachusetts Amherst
