Hi Everyone, I had a fantastic time playing and speaking at the NASA conference in Albuquerque last month. Thank you to Eric Lau and Glenn Kostur for the invitation. I've had several people ask me when my latest book/play-along set would be available. It just came in from the printer yesterday, and is now in stock and shipping. The book is aimed at sixth - ninth grade players, as well as classical players looking to get a good grasp of mainstream jazz (swing/bop/bossa) style and phrasing. The pieces are very easy to play, from a technical standpoint, but they teach the essential elements of the jazz language, and train the ear to hear sequences, voice-leading, phrasing, thematic development and variation, as well as articulation and style. You can check out samples from the book at: website The book is being endorsed by Jamey Aebersold, Jerry Coker, Tim Price, Mark Colby, Alex Han, Alan Barnes, Garry Keller, Dr. Paul Haar and Dr. Gregory W. Yasinitsky.
