We are looking at many options for updating / creating a NASA Logo for the website and various publications. Below are a few suggestions from a graphic artist - click on the thumbnails and let us know what you think.

I like the blue and yellow one as well. However, I wish the saxophone looked more like a line drawing and less like an amorphous blob. I wish it were a bit crisper/cleaner.

Could you post the psd document as a pdf or jpeg?
So far, I like the blue and gold or the first black and white, agreeing that it would be nice to sharpen up the saxophone a little, at least in the mouthpiece area.

All your suggestions are possible. What we are working on at the moment is recreating the original NASA logo, but with all components of it in separate files. The elements are all sharper, and we can quickly try out a huge variation in colors and fonts. I think the original has a lot going for it, but it needs a little more "punch", updating in color, and a different choice of font. If anyone is interested I can make these files available in a form you can manipulate in photoshop or CS3.

I would like the white and purple one the best if the saxophone and words were rotated upright so that they are in the same position as the other colored ones. And, I agree with the other posts that the saxophone would look better if it could be crisper.
