Quatuor International de Saxophones to perform Oct. 13 TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The International Saxophone Quartet, a group of musicians from the four corners of the world, will perform Oct. 13 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Center for Performing and Fine Arts, located at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets. The quartet, which was formed in 2000, features Jean-Pierre Baraglioli of France, soprano saxophone; William Street of Canada, alto saxophone; Keiji Munesada of Japan, tenor saxophone ; and Richard Dirlam of the United States, baritone saxophone. Their repertoire as a chamber quartet includes Thierry Escaich’s “Le Bal pour quatuor de saxophones,” Carleton Macy’s “Faust for Saxophone Quartet,” Frédéric Devreese’s “James Ensor Suite, (a work dedicated to the quartet),” as well as adaptations of works by Maurice Ravel. Since its successful debut at the XIII World Saxophones Congress in Minneapolis, the group has organized a series of concerts each year in France, Belgium, Japan, Thailand and the United States.
