Bio:

Ethan Helm is a saxophonist and composer based in New York City. Originally from Yorba Linda, California, he attended Eastman School of Music as a Rogers Scholar and graduated with a bachelors degree with High Honors in jazz saxophone in 2012. Ethan is involved in a variety of genres and NYC musical communities, as a leader of his own quartet, co-leader of jazz quintet “Cowboys & Frenchmen,” and as a composer and arranger for jazz ensembles, indie rock groups, and dance. He has performed at the 2012 Umbria Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, and throughout the United States and Canada. He was awarded 2nd place in the North American Saxophone Alliance jazz competition in March, 2014. In June 2015 he released an album for jazz quartet, “The Spoon.”
