Paul Nolen is known internationally for his vibrant and virtuosic performances as a concerto artist, recitalist, and chamber player.  He was a featured concerto soloist with the Royal Northern College Wind Ensemble at the 2012 World Saxophone Congress in St. Andrew's, Scotland. He was a featured soloist at the 2015 WASBE Convention with the San Fransisco Wind Ensemble. His acclaimed recording of David Maslanka's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble is featured on Albany Records.  

Paul has presented solo recitals and masterclasses throughout the U.S. and is known for his vibrant teaching.  He has twice led the saxophone class at the Aberystwyth International MusicFest, and given masterclasses at universities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

Paul is active as the soprano saxophonist of the award-winning Iridium Quartet. The quartet received a prestigious Aaron Copland Grant and released its first CD of American compositions in 2014.
