Bio: Noa Even is a Cleveland-based saxophonist dedicated to sparking deeper interest in the arts of today through the performance of contemporary music. Her saxophone duo, Ogni Suono, was recently awarded a New Music USA grant for SaxoVoce, a long term project exploring the sonic continuum between the saxophone and human voice. Their 2015 summer tour included performances in Berlin, Tel Aviv, Budapest, Vienna, and Sibiu (Romania). As a guest lecturer, Noa has presented master classes at many music schools across the country and abroad, such as Peabody Conservatory, Israel Conservatory, Ball State University, and College-Conservatory of Music-University of Cincinnati. Noa is the Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Kent State University. She completed degrees at Bowling Green State University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Northwestern University, and studied abroad at Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt. Her primary teachers are John Sampen, Debra Richtmeyer, Jean-Michel Goury, and Fred Hemke.
