Bio: | Parker Fritz is a saxophonist and composer. He finished his Bachelor of Music degree at Central Michigan University, where he studied saxophone with John Nichol and composition with Evan Ware. While at Central Michigan, he received awards for scholarship, performance, composition, and creative activity, including the 2018 Presser Foundation Undergraduate Scholar Award and the 2019 Provost’s Award for Undergraduate Research and Creative Accomplishments. He has also received awards for chamber music, including quarterfinalist at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and 2nd place in the MTNA National Chamber Music Competition. Parker is currently earning his masters degrees in saxophone performance and composition at the University of Oklahoma, studying with Jonathan Nichol and Marvin Lamb. | ||||||
