Bio: |
Claire Salli is an Artist Certificate student studying with Dr. Jan Berry-Baker at Georgia State University. She is an advocate for new music and has commissioned and premiered many new works for the saxophone. She has an avid performing and teaching career both in and outside of academia. She has had the opportunity to perform in the United States, Croatia, and Italy and has worked as a clinician and private lesson teacher at numerous high schools and camps across the country. She placed in several competitions such as MTNA Ohio, the Marquette Symphony Orchestra concerto competition, the Stephen F Austin Stare University concerto competition and the Douglas Wayland Chamber music competition. She has a masters in saxophone performance from Bowling Green State University where she served as Dr. John Sampen’s teaching assistant and taught undergraduate applied lessons and ensemble. Claire also earned her bachelor’s in music education from Stephen F Austin State University where she studied with Dr. Nathan Nabb. null |
