Griffin Campbell has appeared to critical acclaim as a performer and presented master classes throughout the United States and in South America, Europe, and Asia. Conference performances include solo appearances at meetings of the World Saxophone Congress, North American Saxophone Alliance, the Society of Composers, Inc., the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States, and the International Computer Music Conference. World premieres include concerti, chamber music, electro-acoustic works, and smaller pieces both in America and abroad. His recordings can be found on the Capstone, Cat Crisis, Centaur, Electronic Music Foundation, SEAMUS, Vestige, and WorldWinds labels, as well as on CDBaby, Soundcloud, and Amazon. Dr. Campbell is a past president of the North American Saxophone Alliance and is Distinguished Professor of Saxophone and Bayhi Alumni Professor of Music at Louisiana State University, where he has been on faculty since 1984.

Taylor Barbay Assad

Soprano Saxophone


Taylor Barbay Assad has performed in France, Scotland, Croatia, and all over the United States. Her work in the commissioning of various compositional projects led to write her recent dissertation titled “Insights into the Collaborative Process between Electronic Music Composers and Commissioning Saxophonists.” She has performed new music at the Electric LaTex Festival, the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, New Music DePaul, at NASA Biennial and Regional Conferences, and at the World Saxophone Congress. 

Dr. Assad is a founding member of Quartetto Obrigado, she has performed with industry greats such as the Four Tops, Johnny Mathis, and the Harry James Jazz Orchestra, and with Minos the Saint, an eclectic chamber-folk ensemble with Cajun and Zydeco influence and elements of Eastern European, Latin, and jazz traditions.

Dr. Assad teaches at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She is a Vandoren Regional Artist and performs exclusively on Selmer Paris saxophones.
