Bio:

Robert Faub lives in Greensboro, NC where he is a member of two innovative ensembles – Red Clay Saxophone Quartet and the Piedmont Triad Jazz Orchestra. An accomplished classical soloist, chamber musician and jazz artist, he is also a life-long educator who passionately shares his expertise with students of all ages. With Red Clay Saxophone Quartet Robert has performed and recorded extensively over the past eleven years, contributing to the commissioning and premiers of dozens of new works. RCSQ’s latest recording, 10th Anniversary, was released in October, 2015. Robert appears on New Century Saxophone Quartet’s recordings Standards (2001) and A
New Century Christmas
(2002).





Robert is currently the Jazz Ensemble Director and Saxophone
Instructor at High Point University and Director of Instrumental Music at Caldwell
Academy in Greensboro, NC. He holds the DMA and MM in saxophone performance
from UNC Greensboro and a BM in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam. 

Ensemble Bio:

Percussionist, composer and educator Nathan Daughtrey is a musical chameleon who uses his wide-ranging talents to adapt comfortably to a variety of environments. He is Visiting Lecturer of Percussion and Music Composition at High Point University where he teaches applied lessons, directs the percussion ensemble and works in collaboration with the School of Communication and Department of Dance. A performing artist/clinician for Yamaha percussion, Vic Firth, Zildjian, and Black Swamp, he has performed and presented clinics throughout the United States and across three continents. Nathan has recorded two solo marimba albums to date – "Spiral Passages" and "The Yuletide Marimba" – as well as several chamber music albums, including a recent collaboration with euphoniumist Brian Meixner titled "Praxis." With over 60 publications for percussion ensemble, concert band, orchestra, chamber ensembles, and soloists as well as an ever-growing number of commissions, Nathan balances his performing with composing, and to great acclaim.
