Benjamin Sorrell has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and in orchestras throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.   Repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary, Benjamin is a strong proponent of the music of our time.  His most recent trip brought him to the Daegu International Contemporary Music Festival where he gave a lecture-recital on contemporary saxophone techniques.  Honors include winning the New England Conservatory (NEC) Concerto Competition performing Ingolf Dahlís Concerto for Alto Saxophone and
Wind Orchestra
, and being invited to perform William Bolcomís Concerto
with the USC Wind Ensemble.  Benjamin
received his DMA from the University of Southern California, and his BM and MM from
New England Conservatory of Music, studying with Kenneth Radnofsky.
