Bio:

Nickie Day is a musician that believes discomfort and unfamiliarity in music can lead to tremendous growth. Music should not only act as a tool used to provide comfort, but also as a tool designed to unleash curiosity. This can only be done when our perceptions and views (or ears) are challenged by new things. As a saxophonist, Nickie has a strong interest in new music and collaborative projects.

Nickie is a native of Las Vegas, NV where she graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of Performing and Visual Arts. She received a bachelor’s degree in music performance from New Mexico State University where she studied under Dr. Rhonda Taylor. She received her Master’s degree from West Virginia University where she studied under Dr. Michael Ibrahim.
