Hailed by Fanfare magazine for his "exceptional feel for elegance, wit… and tonal beauty," Bob Eason is a doctoral student studying with Dr. Otis Murphy at Indiana University. He holds a master's degree in saxophone performance from Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Houston, where he studied with Mr. Dan Gelok, Mrs. Valerie Vidal, and Dr. Karen Wylie. Bob was recently a semi-finalist in the 5th Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bob is the soprano saxophonist of the Kenari Saxophone Quartet, a dynamic and innovative ensemble that has received numerous awards and accolades including top prizes at several of the nation's chamber music competitions including the M-Prize, Fischoff, Coleman, J.C. Arriaga, Plowman, and Chesapeake Bay chamber music competitions, as well as a residency with the American Public Media program "Performance Today".
