Bio:  Caleb Burkhardt is an American saxophonist, currently pursuing his DMA at the College-Conservatory of Music where he studies with Dr. James Bunte. He holds a M.M. from Bowling Green State University where he studied with the world-renowned Dr. John Sampen and a B.M. from CCM, where he studied with Dr. Nathan Nabb and Dr. James Bunte. He has completed additional studies with the late Dr. Fred Hemke.
Ensemble Bio: The Cincinnati Saxophone Quartet is a group comprised of Cincinnati's finest saxophonists.  The ensemble has formed for the sole purpose of bringing to life Michael Seltenreich's masterful work,Onot.

Om Srivastava

Tenor Saxophone

Bio: Om Srivastava, DMA, is a saxophonist and educator passionate about contemporary and world music. Srivastava has performed throughout the United States and abroad including featured performances with the Kokomo and Ball State Symphony Orchestras, as well as with the BSU Jazz Ensemble's tour of China. He has been an active performer in the festivals of the Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, New York, the New Harmony Music Festival and the Covington World Music Fest.

Srivastava was named a finalist in the International Coleman Chamber Music Competition (2013) and semi-finalist in the North American Saxophone Alliance Competition (2016). In 2013 he released the album Through Adam's Fall with the Promethean Quartet and in 2017 he released his solo debut Antara comprised of Indian fusion music for saxophone and tabla. He was awarded a 2015 IndianRaga fellowship and was named a Fellow at the 2017 Cortona Sessions for New Music in Tuscany, Italy.

Erick Miranda

Alto Saxophone

Bio: Erick Miranda is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist based in Cincinnati Ohio who has performed extensively both as a jazz and a classical musician. He has studied with Jazz pedagogues Jerry Bergonzi, Dr. Greg Riley at West Chester University and Rick Vanmatre at the University of Cincinnati. He has also studied with classical pedagogues Ken Radnofsky and James Bunte. Erick earned his MM from CCM and his BM from West Chester University. Erick will return to school in 2020 as the DMA teaching assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. Currently he is a freelance musician playing a wide variety of music.

Carly Hood

Baritone Saxophone

Bio:

Carly Hood is a saxophonist and educator from the Cincinnati metropolitan area. She is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Cincinnati State, and is pursuing her Doctorate in Saxophone Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) with a cognate in Music History (ABD). During her time at CCM, Hood has served as Graduate Assistant for both the Saxophone Studio and Music Education division. She was recently selected to perform Debussy's Rhapsody for Orchestra and Saxophone with the CCM Concert Orchestra. Hood performs with the Columbus and Springfield Symphony Orchestras. Before her doctoral studies at CCM, Hood received a Masters in Saxophone Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she studied with and served as Graduate Assistant for Dr. Nathan Nabb. Hood holds a BM and BME from CCM, where she studied saxophone with Dr. James Bunte.
