Brandon Quarles is a saxophonist dedicated to the creation and performance of new music. He is currently based in Chicago where he works closely with composers to realize new and progressive works. Brandon is a member of ~Nois, a saxophone quartet committed to performing contemporary music. ~Nois was awarded the Silver Medal at the 2017 Fischoff National Chamber Music Compeition and was also awarded First Prize at the 2016 Chicago Woodwind Ensemble Competition. Currently in his first year of doctoral study at Northwestern University, Brandon serves the school as the Doctoral Assistant for the saxophone studio and as the Instructor of Non-Major Saxophone Lessons. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. Brandon’s principal teachers are Clint Schmitt, Connie Frigo, and Taimur Sullivan.
