Dr. Jason Kush: DMA - University of Miami (with D. Underwood and G. Keller). Associate Professor at Slippery Rock University and an Artist Lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University.


Performance credits: Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (over 130 services, EU tour), the Russian National Orchestra, and New World Symphony (EU tour), Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra (member). Freelance: Woody Herman, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks, South Florida Jazz Orchestra.  Kush has performed at Carnegie Hall on two occasions: in 1998 and 2008.

In 2014, the Jason Kush/Billy Test duo released Intersecting Lines (Naxos).

Kush’s scholarly work includes a dissertation on François Louis, as well as feature articles in The Saxophone Journal, Polyphonic.org, The Instrumentalist, and The International Musician.

Kush operates the Three Rivers New Music Consortium, an organization whose first commission was Out of this World (2014) by David Maslanka.

Kush endorses the Selmer (France) and Conn-Selmer (USA), as well as the products of François Louis.
