Bio: |
Saxophonist Aaron Burr is currently
pursuing his Doctorate of Arts in Saxophone Performance at the University of
Northern Colorado. There he serves as the graduate teaching assistant to Dr.
Andrew Dahlke. He also holds a Master of Music degree from The University of
New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Northern Arizona University.
His primary teachers include Dr. Andrew Dahlke, Dr. Eric Lau, Dr. Ashley Kelly,
Glenn Kostur, and Dr. Jonathan Bergeron. Aaron has had the opportunity to
perform with the NAU, and UNC symphony orchestras, collaborate with composers
on new chamber works, and give recitals in both Arizona and New Mexico. In Albuquerque,
he was in demand for teaching private lessons, as well as a clinician, working
for several high schools in the area. He was a member of the Platinum Saxophone
Quartet which were the guest artists for the Music from Angel Fire school
outreach program in April of 2018 and in April 2019. |

Caleb Westby
Composer & Electronic Setup
Bio: Still an Arizonan at heart, Caleb Westby is an Oklahoma-based composer who holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from Northern Arizona University as well as a Master of Music from the University of Oklahoma. Presently a doctoral student at the University of Oklahoma, he has had the pleasure of learning from several great composers; among them Marvin Lamb, Bob Thurston, and Michael Markowski. His influences include many prominent modern composers in both the wind band and choral realms, but his music is also heavily inspired by video game soundtracks both old and new.
