Jennifer Blackwell is a Canadian saxophonist and music educator. As an advocate for new music, she has premiered numerous works for saxophone, frequently collaborating with composers. She has been selected to perform at several North American Saxophone Alliance Conferences, and frequently presents at regional, national, and international conferences on a variety of topics in music performance, music education, and new music.

Jennifer is the editor of the North American Saxophone Alliance’s Scholarly Publication, The Saxophone Symposium, and her most recent publication was featured in the Canadian Music Educator in fall 2015. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Western Ontario, and masters degrees in saxophone performance and music education from Central Michigan University. Currently, Jennifer is pursuing her PhD in Music Education with a minor in Saxophone Performance at Indiana University on a Jacobs School of Music Doctoral Fellowship, where she also teaches woodwind methods.
