Brendan Catalano has performed as a saxophone soloist and chamber musician in cities across Canada and the United States. He was the grand award winner of the 2015 Saskatchewan Music Festival, first place winner of the 2017 American Protégé Woodwind Competition, and winner of the 49th University of Florida Concerto Competition.
Brendan's recent research includes an analysis and discussion of the historical application of music in the Star Wars universe, and the application of music therapy for sufferers of hearing loss. Brendan's performance interests include the study of extended techniques for saxophone and unaccompanied saxophone repertoire. 

Brendan received his Bachelor of Music degree with honors from the University of Saskatchewan. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree from the University of Florida, where he works as a graduate assistant for the saxophone studio. He has studied under Dr. Jonathan Helton, Dr. Glen Gillis, Troy Linsley, and Lyle Rebbeck.
