Drew Whiting’s diverse musical interests have led him to perform with symphony orchestras, big bands, new music ensembles, salsa bands, improvisation collectives, chamber ensembles, and has presented solo recitals throughout the United States. An advocate for new music, he has worked with composers such as Zack Browning, Betsy Jolas, Erik Lund, and Pauline Oliveros. An accomplished chamber musician, Drew was awarded 1st Place at the 2012 MTNA National Chamber Music Competition, and continues to an active collaborator.

In addition to performing, Dr. Whiting is a dedicated and vibrant teacher. He has taught on the faculties of Illinois Wesleyan University and Spring Arbor University. In 2013, Dr. Whiting joined the music faculty at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Drew Whiting received Masters and Bachelors of Music degrees from the Michigan State University College of Music and completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
