Bio:

American-Canadian saxophonist Paul Lessard is at home in a wide range of styles, from classical and jazz to funk and punk. As a soloist, he has performed with the Hagerstown (MD) Municipal Band, the University of Florida Concert Choir, and both the Gettysburg College Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. Dedicated to the promotion of new music, Mr. Lessard has worked with a growing number of composers to bring their works to international audiences, most recently giving the European and Canadian premieres of Avner Dorman’s “Suite for Solo Saxophone.”

Mr. Lessard has performed across North America and Europe, including recitals at North American Saxophone Alliance conferences and the 2019 World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb. He holds degrees from the University of Florida and Gettysburg College. Mr. Lessard currently lives in Toronto, Ontario, where he is a doctoral student in composition at the University of Toronto and maintains a studio of private students.
