Jeff Lederer is a saxophonist/woodwind performer/composer who has been included in the Downbeat Critics’ and Readers’ poll each year since 2014.  He leads ensembles including the “Shakers n’ Bakers”, “Sunwatcher”, the “Honey Ear Trio” as well as his most recent project “Brooklyn Blowhards” which received critical acclaim worldwide including a full profile in the NY Times.  Lederer also plays in the groups of Matt Wilson, Bobby Sanabria, Allison Miller, Jimmy Bosch and many others.  Lederer was recently named as a “Musician to Watch in 2017” by JazzWise magazine in London.  In the fall of 2017 Lederer will be artist-in-residence at the Guimaraes Jazz Festival in Portugal and also play the Chicago and Monterey Jazz Festivals with Matt Wilson’s “Honey and Salt” project based on the poetry of Carl Sandburg.  Lederer is currently serving as Coordinator of Jazz Studies and Professor of Jazz Saxophone at Long Island University in New York.
