Zach Stern enjoys a career as a performer and educator, and has appeared in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. A founding member of the Donald Sinta Quartet, Zach has received top prizes at many competitions including the M-Prize, Concert Artists Guild, Coleman, and Fischoff competitions. He has also been featured as a soloist with the Reno Philharmonic, the French Republican Guard Band, the Dallas Winds, and the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Band.

Currently residing in Rochester, NY, where he maintains a private studio and teaches at the Eastman Community Music School, Zach is working toward a DMA in Saxophone Performance from the Eastman School of Music. Both of his previous degrees are from the University of Michigan and his primary teachers include Chien-Kwan Lin, Donald Sinta, and Scott Plugge.
