>In 2014, Megan won first place in the Woodwind Category at the National Music Festival (Canada) and in 2016 won first place in the Woodwind Category at Canadian Music Competition. She was selected as a second place winner in the 2015 American Protégé International Competition, allowing her to perform in the winners’ recital at Carnegie Hall. Megan has participated in intensive saxophone programs including the Frederick L. Hemke Saxophone Institute and the American Saxophone Academy.

Ensemble Bio:

International Counterpoint (IC) was formed in August 2016 and is comprised of graduate students from Georgia State University. The name 'International Counterpoint' signifies the bringing together of the three nationalities represented by the trio members: Canada (Bauman), Serbia (Damnjanović), and the United States (Murphy). IC is dedicated to furthering chamber repertoire for flute, clarinet, and saxophone through commissioning new works and performing already existing pieces for this unique instrumentation.

Achievements include being awarded third prize at GSU's annual Honor's recital competition (March 2017) and receiving a resident ensemble fellowship to attend the prestigious Cortona Sessions for New Music (Italy) for July 2017.

Despite their relatively short time together, IC has already premiered several commissions at notable venues include the 39th International Saxophone Symposium. International Counterpoint has received praise for their work from composer David Gillingham stating that "I am absolutely wild about this performance!" of his American Counterpoint.
