Christine Ewald is from Park Ridge, Illinois. She is pursuing a double major in physics education and music performance at Illinois State University, where she studies saxophone with Dr. Paul Nolen. Throughout her time at ISU, she has performed in masterclasses with saxophonists such as the H2 quartet and members of the United States Army Field band. As a member of ISU's saxophone choir, she participated in the premiers of pieces by Roy Magnuson and Joshua Keeling during the 2016 Biennial NASA conference in Lubbock, Texas. In 2016, she received honorable mention at the Illinois state round of MTNA’s woodwind category of the Young Artists Performance competition. In February of 2017, she received honorable mention for ISU’s orchestra concerto competition with Decruck’s Sonata. She is also a member of the international professional music fraternity Delta Omicron.
