Bio:

Concert saxophonist and pedagogue Matthew Younglove has performed concerts and recitals across the United States, France, and the UK. He currently serves on the faculty of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN.

He has performed with ensembles such as the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings, Flint Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist he has performed with the Bowling Green State University Wind Symphony, Wayne State University Wind Symphony, Minot Symphony Orchestra, Florence Symphony Orchestra, Motor City Symphony Orchestra, International Symphony Orchestra, Wayne State University Symphony Orchestra, the Oakland Symphony Orchestra, University of Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Wayne State University Concert Band, and the Warren Concert Band.

As a member of the award-winning Assembly Quartet he frequently tours the US and abroad performing concerts and engaging in educational outreach performances. Matthew Younglove is a Vandoren Artist Clinician and Conn-Selmer Artist Clinician.

Bio:
Yu-Lien TheAssistant Professor of Piano at Western Michigan University, has performed throughout the US, Europe and Southeast-Asia, including appearances at the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, Zankel Hall at Carnegie, and as a soloist with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, the Kammerorchester Hannover, and the Baroque Orchestra L'Arco. A sought-after chamber musician, she frequently collaborates with saxophonists Joe Lulloff and Henning Schröder. Dr. The has been involved in numerous commissions and world premieres of works by Dorothy Chang, Anna Clyne, David Lang, Carter Pann, and Frederic Rzewski. She is a prizewinner of the 12th International Piano Competition Viotti-Valsesia and the Deutsche Musikwettbewerb.
Dr. The obtained piano performance degrees from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover and the Hochschule für Musik Detmold as well as a D.M.A. from Michigan State University. Her principal piano teachers were Arie Vardi, Anatol Ugorski, Deborah Moriarty and Lori Sims.
