Lindsey Welp

Soprano Saxophone

Bio: Lindsey Welp is a saxophonist based out of Bowling Green, Ohio. She earned her B. M. in Music Performance and French at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. In the Spring of 2018, Lindsey spent a semester abroad studying saxophone in Paris, France with acclaimed saxophonist Jean-Yves Fourmeau. She currently attends Bowling Green State University, where she is pursuing her M. M. in Saxophone Performance. She has studied with saxophonists Scotty Stepp and Dr. John Sampen. She is a classical saxophonist and educator versatile in both traditional and contemporary styles. Lindsey is the soprano saxophonist with the ABRAXAS Quartet.

Daniel Lynge

Baritone and Alto Saxophone

Bio: Daniel Lynge is an American Saxophonist from Dallas, Texas. He has a degree in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce (B.M. 2018), and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Saxophone Performance at Bowling Green State University. His teachers are Dr. Chris Beaty and Dr. John Sampen. Daniel specializes in new music from both the jazz and classical perspectives. Daniel is the Baritone Saxophonist with the ABRAXAS Quartet.

Andrew Hosler

Tenor and Soprano Saxophone

Bio:

Andrew J. Hosler is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Saxophone Performance from Bowling Green State University with Distinguished Artist Professor, Dr. John Sampen. An advocate of contemporary music, Andrew has commissioned/premiered over 55 works by award winning composers from all over the world including Alexis Bacon, Benjamin Attahir, Gregory Wanamaker, Shelly Washington, Jamie Leigh Sampson, and Marilyn Shrude. As a soloist Andrew has performed Walter Mays's Concerto for Alto Saxophone with the Bowling Green Philharmonia and Alexander Popovici and William Albright's Heater: Saga for saxophone and band with the Bowling Green State University Concert Band and Dr. Bruce Moss. He has also performed at the 2017 and 2018 BGSU ArtsX Festival and the 2019 Region V North American Saxophone Alliance conference. Andrew is a 2018 Fellow of the Cortona Saxophone Sessions in Cortona, Italy. Andrew is the tenor saxophonist with the ABRAXAS Quartet.



Andrew Moore

Alto Saxophone

Bio: Andrew Moore (b. 1994) is an American saxophonist from Port Charlotte, FL. In 2015, he completed undergraduate degrees in Music Performance and Music Education at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he studied saxophone with Mario Bernardo. He is currently working on his M.M. in Saxophone Performance at Bowling Green State University. Andrew is the Alto Saxophonist with the ABRAXAS Quartet.

Joshua Heaney

Bass Saxophone/Alto Saxophone

Bio:

Joshua Heaney is a saxophonist and music educator based in the greater area of Toledo, Ohio. He is regularly featured as a soloist, having recently performed with the Susquehanna University Wind Ensemble Institute, Atlanta Chamber Collective, Atlanta Wind Project, Georgia State University Wind Ensemble, and Susquehanna University Orchestra. He has also performed as principal saxophonist with the Macon Symphony. A staunch advocate for new music, Joshua has collaborated with composers John Luther Adams, Marc Mellits, Matthew Quayle, Evan Ziporyn, and many others. Additionally, he was a featured performer with Atlanta’s SoundNOW contemporary music festival, EAR|EYE series at the Toledo Museum of Art, and Bowling Green New Music Festival. Joshua holds a BM in Music Education from Susquehanna University (cum laude) as well as a MM and Artist Certificate in Saxophone Performance from Georgia State University. He is currently pursuing a DMA in Contemporary Music Performance at Bowling Green State University.
