Jiaqi (Kevin) Zhao is currently a Doctorate student at Eastman School of Music, majoring in Saxophone Performance and Literature. As an accomplished soloist, Kevin has abundant performing experiences including performed the Rhapsody by Andre Waineign with the Eastman Graduate Orchestra in 2014 and play Concerto by Henri Tomasi with University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in XVIII World Saxophone Congress held in Croatia in 2018 as a solo artist. 

During his college and graduate years, Kevin won 1st Prize in the LISMA Woodwind Competition (2013), 2nd Prize in Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition (2015), and 4th Place in the 5th Jean-Marie LONDEIX International Saxophone Competition (JLMISC) held in Bangkok (2017), 1st prize in the national round of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) young artist solo competition.
