Bio: |
Grant Hollis is a junior at The University of Arkansas doubling in music education and saxophone performance. In his time at the university, he has been a member of several ensembles, some of which being the University Wind Ensemble, the University Large Saxophone Ensemble, the University New Music Ensemble and various smaller chamber groups. He has also done performances with the University of Arkansas Collegiate Chorale, the University Men’s Chorus, the University Symphony Orchestra, and the University Inspirational Chorale. Outside of ensembles he has participated in several performances/masterclasses including some with Joe Rulli, Taimur Sullivan, Matthew Tracy, and Masahito Sugihara. Pre-enrollment at the university, he was the first prize winner of the 2017 Saxophone Scholarship competition with his performance of Bernhard Heiden’s Sonata. Recent performances include the 2019 Region IV NASA Conference, the 2019 University Honors Recital with the Obstreperous Saxophone Sextet, and the 2019 Great Plains Saxophone Summit. |
