Jonathan Hulting-Cohen, saxophonist, has performed worldwide, including at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie’s Zankel Hall, Colburn’s Thayer Hall, and in ten performances at SaxOpen across Strasbourg, France, in 2015 as a soloist and with his vaudeville saxophone sextet, The Moanin’ Frogs. With harpist Jennifer R. Ellis in the Admiral Launch Duo, Jonathan commissioned eight pieces for saxophone and harp. The duo’s highlights include performing at Northwestern University and two residencies at Avaloch Farm Music Institute. He also led an interdisciplinary performance project combining dance, music, visual art, and performance technology, which culminated in a film premiered at the 17th World Saxophone Congress.

Jonathan is Assistant Professor of Saxophone at University of Massachusetts Amherst. He studied with Donald Sinta at University of Michigan. He is a Conn-Selmer Artist and uses Selmer (Paris) saxophones.

They have also performed at the inaugural Northwestern University New Music Conference, Humanities Education and Research Association 2015 Conference, University of Michigan Social Justice Art Festival, and Northbrook Parisian Salon Concerts. Admiral Launch held two residencies at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute, where they recently prepared new works by Stephen Rush, Patrick O’Malley, and Natalie Moller for tour at Schenectady County Community College, UMass Amherst, The Hartt School, Michigan State University, and the Kalamazoo Piano Company.
