Saxophonist Bill Perconti and Centaur Records have released a CD entitled Women Composers and Their Music for Saxophone.  A historical first, the CD features seven world-premier recordings by Lera Auerbach, Libby Larsen, Elena Ruehr, Judith Shatin, Joan Tower, and Nancy Van de Vate.  Included is an adaptation of Joan Tower's Fantasy (Those Harbor Lights . . . ), originally for clarinet and piano.  Perconti is assisted by pianist Kay Zavislak of the U. of Idaho, and guitarist Paul Grove of Gonzaga U.
