As I await the opening of the Region VI conference in my Valdosta, Georgia, hotel room, I'm reminded of how very lucky we are to play music, and to have the saxophone as our creative device. We are also fortunate to have conferences this year in all but one or our regions, and a shout out to our regional directors for this.
I look forward to our next bienneal conference at the Cincinnatti College Conservatory of Music, March 8-11 2018, with James Bunte as our host. Things are moving forward for this conference, and an official roll out and call for proposals will be on the website before long.
